PRAYER AND THE ART OF INTERCESSION

Text: 1 Timothy 2:1-4. v. 8

“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.”

1- Prayer starts with God
2- Prayer is communication with God and vice versa.
3- We are at best when we pray His will. 1 John 5: 14
“Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”

• Prayer must come by faith in God. Patience is the word that strengthens our – Hope in God that answers prayer. Patience is a test of faith. Romans 8: 25. 28. 32

INTERCESSION
Prayer must start from the heart.
Allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in prayer so you won’t pray by emotion
Prepare for tomorrow today so you won’t be caught in the imbalance
*Psalms 122:6 pray for peace of your Jerusalem. *“Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.”* Psalms‬ ‭122:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Jeremiah 29:7 work and pray for where you live. “And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
