“I know what it is to be poor or to have plenty, and I have lived under all kinds of conditions. I know what it means to be full or to be hungry, to have too much or too little. Christ gives me the strength to face anything.” Phil. 4: 12-13 CEV
God never promised a bump-free route to success just as no city/nation that is built in a day, not even Rome! Instead, He promised to be with us and strengthen us all the way through. Those mountains (lofty, high mindedness), valleys (low, helplessness) are not meant to break or ditch us but, to make us of a sterner stuff. The crooked (smartness, crooked way of doing things) and rough hedges (intolerance, easily offended, selfishness) God needs to smooth and polish us by dealing with it. Isa. 40: 1-3.
Finally, whatever we go through will surely work together for our good. God always prepare us for what He has prepared for us. James 1: 1-4. Jer. 29:11
JOSEPH was pampered by Jacob his father and hated by his brethren who sold him into slavery. But, God used all including jail to refine and process him for his glorious dream to come to reality! From pain to gain, from test to testimony and from prison, he became the Prime Minister in a foreign land. Gen, 41: 40-44
“We know that God is always at work for the good of everyone who loves him. They are the ones God has chosen for his purpose.” Rom. 8: 28 CEV.
